UNKT Communication Working Group - Communicating for Development
The United Nations Kosovo Team (UNKT) Communication Group (CG) was established in 2006 with the aim of increasing public awareness of the United Nations agencies programmes and funds in Kosovo.
The UNKT CG works in strengthening communication internally within the UN family and externally with key stakeholders including the Government, international community, civil society, the media, private sector and the general public.
The UN Agencies that operate in Kosovo have their own communications officers or designated officers who are also dedicated in covering joint public relation events and communication activities.
The UNKT communication Group develops an annual communication plan called "Communication for Development" which intends to promote, support and facilitate the collective approach of the United Nations Agencies in Kosovo in the areas of Employment, Health, Good Governance, Social Inclusion and Education as agreed in the UNKT “Strategic Plan” in response to identified development needs and priorities in line with the MDGs.
